Food Booth Information

The Suttons Bay Art Festival is looking for food booth participants to sell natural, ethnic and home style food and beverages. Only food items may be sold in the Food Tent. Each provider will be approved by our Committee so that a variety of foods will be available. Be very specific about the food you plan to serve when filling out your application.

Dates: 

  • Saturday, August 5, 2017 10 am – 6 pm

  • Sunday, August 6, 2017 11:30 am – 5 pm 

Fees:

  • $50.00 not-for-profit groups

  • $150 for-profit groups or individuals

  • $15.00 additional fee for booths using electricity

  • Make check payable to Suttons Bay Art Festival – return application by May 1st.

  • Food booth fees are used to offset the costs involved in providing the tent, tables, etc.

  • Any additional proceeds from the Festival as a whole are donate to are donated to local art, music, and village programs.

  • Each participant must contact the Health Department. You may need a temporary food service license. Call the Leelanau County Health Department 256-0200.

  • There is electricity available for only six booths. These will be allocated based upon the order applications are received. Electrical service is 100 amp. 

  • Each booth will be allowed only ONE electrical application. Extension cords must be #12 or higher.

Rules:

  1. Booths must be set up and selling both days.

  2. Each space is approximately 8’ x 8’. One 8’ table will be provided. Please plan to supply your own table coverings. All equipment, display, supplies, etc. should be inside your designated space. The only exception – grills/heat source must be outside the tent.

  3. Be ready to sell food during the hours listed above and plan to serve until at least 1 hour prior to the Festival close.

  4. Plan to have one of your workers carry your trash to the nearby dumpster.

  5. If you have a heat source or use electricity, you are required to have an appropriate fire extinguisher.

  6. There is no employee/vendor parking allowed in the Marina Lot

  7. Unauthorized vehicles may be ticketed and towed at owner’s expense.

  8. Make sure all workers have read and understand this information.

  9. All trash, supplies and other setup must be removed by 6 pm on Sunday.

  10. Absolutely no food dispensed outside the food tent.
